Homeschool Surf Series - October
October 01 ~ 31, 2026 | 27th Ave, Beachfront Park
Gnarly Homeschool Surf Series offers a fun and educational way for students to earn Physical Education credit while learning the fundamentals of surfing. Students develop skills such as standing up, board control, wave reading, ocean awareness, and ocean safety through hands-on surf instruction. Lessons are customized for intermediate to advanced surfers, helping students build confidence, strength, balance, and water skills. Students provide their own necessary equipment, including a surfboard and spring/winter wetsuits, allowing them to participate throughout the Florida seasons.
Classes are held every Monday from 10:00–11:30 AM, with Tuesdays available as weather-related makeup days when needed.
Tuition options include $200 per month for four classes or $60 per individual class, with packages expiring at the end of the purchased month unless otherwise arranged. The program combines physical education, ocean knowledge, and personal growth through the sport of surfing.
Private Lessons
October 05, 2026 ~ March 31, 2027 | Florida
Private surf sessions at New Smyrna Beach are $75 per hour. Travel fees apply to other locations. Sign up through Surf Signup or find us under “Gnarly Homeschool” on Step Up For Students. Packages begin with a minimum of two sessions.
Gnarly Charley is an experienced surf coach passionate about helping students build confidence, develop real-world skills, and have fun learning through surfing and ocean education.
